Punkte Training

We invest a lot in the development of our employees – and we like doing so. But development is not only limited to internal and external trainings. Our organizational structure, but also the daily work, which is adjusted to the personal requirements, helps to challenge and promote every one of us.

Internal trainings

Our internal trainers have several years of working as trainers in this field and are therefore experienced in giving such trainings. They are happy to utilize this knowledge in regular trainings about programming languages such as C# and ASP.NET.

But at Smarthouse, every one has the chance to be a trainer: In weekly trainings and seminars about various different topics, all other employees can present their expert knowledge. Of course, different knowledge levels of the employees are considered. The topics of such seminars may be Silverlight 4, database optimization, JavaScript or web performance. And if someone was not able to attend a training, then our e-learning database will help: Here you can find all seminars on recorded video as webcast.

It is important to us that our employees look beyond the obvious. That is why we invite new employees to trainings about non-technical topics around the world of finance (e. g. how the stock exchange works). These trainings are held by our financial experts in the key account management.

External trainings

We also invite external experts in order to promote the development of our employees. Certifications or project management trainings are only examples of this. English courses help our staff to improve in this essential language. Since we are a subsidiary of Axel Springer AG, we also have a large selection of excellent seminars and trainers.

General development

As we already mentioned, the development of our employees means a lot more than attending trainings. Our employees grow as they work on their tasks – daily. A target agreement which is agreed with the employee incites him to achieve his goals until the end of the year and to acquire additional know-how, if necessary. For example, our own library of technical literature is available for all employees, so that a quick answer to urgent questions can be found easily.

Our organizational structure in units (which contain several teams) also promotes the exchange of expert knowledge between the teams so that in the end, all benefit from this system.

Furthermore, we have a platform of projects, where new topics are available regularly. Every employee can apply for the projects he wants in order to work on them. These projects may be internal tools, but also innovative concepts and products which, in the end, are offered to our customers.
